Nuts about Nuts Foraging Walk + Picnic November 2nd at Prairie Ridge Ecostation!

Join Piedmont Picnic for a walk through the lovely and diverse grounds of the Prairie Ridge Ecostation to identify wild edible plants and learn more about the relevant history of our particular place and natural surroundings. The walk will be followed by a wild foods picnic with food prepared from many of the wild foods we’ll encounter that day! This walk and tasting will have a particular focus on wild nuts in our area. Taste foods made from different kinds of wild nuts as well as other wild ingredients. Learn more about how to identify nut trees throughout the seasons. Crack and sample nuts we’ve pre-foraged from the area.
